Mitch Kapor leaves Chandler

For those of us who have followed this project in it's early days, this doesn't really come as a surprise. After a promising lauch and tantalizing vision, the delivery of usable results stalled early on.

In this, it has an uncanny resemblance with SchoolTool. Both are cathedral-style open source calendaring projects started by technology millionaires around the heyday of the dotcom boom. Both are still struggling to fulfill their original vision. Meanwhile, the web has moved on.
